Hi. Sorry it's been so long since my last blog :) Lindsay and I are in Cairns, but we are sleeping in the airport tonight and flying to Brisbane first thing in the morning. We are in one of the many little internet cafes in this town looking for a place to stay tomorrow night.
Wanna know what we did today? ...Are you sure??
We dove the Great Barrier Reef! ...TWICE! It was exactly like on TV...except you're actually there to reach out and touch. It was amazing.
On a crappier note, I failed the stupid GRE again...and just got a reminder email from one of the grad schools I applied to that I have an incomplete package....
Does it mean something that I didn't pass the test and applying to grad school didn't go smoothly? Am I not meant to go back to school this year?? I am not quite sure what I am supposed to do or how I am supposed to take this. I am having a blast in Australia but I keep thinking about the real world and wondering what I am going to do when I get back to NY. Did I fail it, to remind myself that grad school is not easy and that I'll have to work my butt off if I want to take it seriously. Arrrgh

My first blog
So here I am in the LA airport waiting for Lindsay to get here so we can go to Sydney!!! My momma asked me to create this blog, I think she thinks it's funny "to blog" :) but maybe this will be fun!
I guess the theme of this blog will be "living in your heart" I read an awesome quote recently... I can't remember the author, (but that's imperative, so I'll find that info and include it later) the quote says,
"If you were living in your heart, you'd be home by now"
How true and profound that is. Just love each other. I know that sounds silly, but in my experience it makes for a happier day. Just love each other.
Well I have had a crazy trip so far. I left NY the day after Christmas, rode to Denver with a friend, met some friends of friends, toured Fort Collins, found a ride share to San Fransisco, took a bus to LA. I am careful...but also open to every experience. Traveling, for me, puts everything into perspective. In my opinion it's the only cure for a broken heart. Get out there and remind yourself of how BIG the world is. There are some 6 billion people here. Can you imagine?? Can you imagine how many people you haven't talked to yet? You haven't learned anything from yet? You haven't loved or been loved by yet???? Get out here!!! The world is waiting for you! And despite what the media says.... It's a pretty awesome and happy place. Don't take my word though, go figure it out for yourself!
.......and... if you live in your heart....you'll never really leave home!
